So, I was saying...
Make the project work for you and just imagine how you can dress it and shake it up with different papers, ribbons, etc. The possibilities are endless! I coordinated the colors to work in my kitchen. I think this would be great in a dining room too!
After:
Painted the frame black, removed the glass,
cut leftover scrapbook paper to "fit",
hot glued silverware to paper,
and added a bit of wire ribbon
for good measure...
So? What do you think? I know it may not be for everyone, but I'm really happy with the way it came out, plus it really helps to "tie in" the "spoon pulls" my dear hubby was so good to make for me and don't you just love that the silverware is a bit tarnished? L-l-l-love it!Painted the frame black, removed the glass,
cut leftover scrapbook paper to "fit",
hot glued silverware to paper,
and added a bit of wire ribbon
for good measure...
P.S. I've been strolling through bloggerville and have seen so many who've followed Ms Nester's idea. It's so, so fun!

Hi Rechelle...
Ohhh yes...I love your new work of art, my friend!!! What a grand idea!!! Love the freshly painted black frame and that pretty red and white paper...divine! So cute that you added a pretty little bow to the fork! Hmmm...you have my creative wheels a rollin' here! Hehe! Love, love, love this idea! It'll look perfect with your new spoon pulls...I loved them! Thanks for sharing such a grand idea...
Warmest wishes,
Chari
Very nice! I have also framed some old mementos - a little smelling salts bottle, embroidery scissors, a lace hanky and old gloves. Such a nice way of enjoying things that get lost in a drawer. I think I am going to leave blogging for a while and go scratching in some drawers!
I think it is darling!
Love it! I saw that on Nester's blog too, it's a really cute idea. I'll have to go auctioning to find some old silverware!
I like it! I just love what you're doing with your kitchen and laundry room☺
I love it! What a great idea.
I love the idea. It turned out great. I would imagine that we would find a lot of posts that are the same, ideas that are the same, homes that look similar. I think it would be because the kind of women who blog would be like-minded about things.

I just cleaned out my drawers this week, and found yet again a stash of antique silver spoons and forks. What to do, what to do.... Then I found your blog, and I LOVE IT ! I soo am going to do this, and post about it soon, and give you credit via linkage! Thanks!
I love the paper you chose!! That looks really adorable!!

Hi Rechelle,
I think I'll try that with some old keys that I have ... thanks for sharing the great idea.
I love the paper you used.
Warmly,
Deb
Love your artwork. I too love many of the same things as you. Thankfully my wonderful hubby loves old stuff too! I'm the "historian/junk collector of my family. I love vintage tablecloths too. My most favorites are enamelware, quilts, and anything that has a story! We remodeled our kitchen a couple yrs ago too (it was dark, 70's). It's all white with one light blue wall now. It flows so much better too. We're redoing a bathroom now. Ready to paint. I had the same "crud" you've had (while workers were here working on bathroom!) It is awful! Hope you're back to normal soon!
Great idea. Definately something I would not have thought to do.
AHHH, I like this very much!! I can't believe how talented you are...
Blessings,
Susie
