Vintage Thingies Thursday 4/23

Happy Thursday! It's time for Vintage Thingies Thursday which is so graciously hosted by Suzanne over at Colorado Lady. Be sure to pay her a visit and see who else rolls "vintage"

Old Canning Jars...
I love the way they "shine"
with the sunlight
filtering through them...

Just one way
I like to use
my jars...

Original light fixture

located in my laundry room

Thanks for stopping by
and spending some time.
May the rest of your day be
GREAT!!!

Hi Rechelle...

Girl, I'm so glad that you stopped by my place and took a peek at my gallery wall! I won't tell you how long it actually took for me to do that...hehe!!! I'm way too meticulous!!!

Love these pretty aqua blue old Mason jars...this color is just soooo beautiful to me! I've really been on an aqua kick here lately...hehe!!! You have "fed" my frenzy!!! hehe!!! That's a beautiful photo too!!!

I read down through your next post...Oooh, you are having summer! When it gets in the 90's it's way too hot for me! We have just started to have some nice Spring weather here in Colorado! Today it got up to 74 and was just glorious!!! I threw open the windows and doors and basked in the fresh air!

Warmest wishes,
Chari

I collect those jars too. I got a few from my MIL's house which I have yet to unpack. I can't wait to get to them. I have a ton of beautiful shells from our last visit to the beach and I'm hoping they will look nice in there.

I also buy up those light fixtures when I find them at the thrift store. Is that funny or what. We are so much alike. I passed one up two weeks ago and I've been kicking myself since then. I am going to go back to see if it's still there.

God bless. Thanks for sharing your lovlies.

I also collected a few of those canning jars - they are dated from the 1800's - stamped in the glass. Too Cool!

Love your jars! And it's wonderful you still have the original light fixture. I'm always hearing of people throwing those out, and I cringe every time!

Very pretty jars and light fixture too. Wish I had some vintage light fixtures. I love your wildflowers in the jars as a vase too.
By the way, the smell of rosemary helps keep mosquitos away too - maybe you could plant some in pots or hanging baskets.
You enjoy your afternoon Rechelle.

Blue mason jars are one of my favorite things in this world! I have them stashed all over the place, storing all kinds of things (beans and lentils in the cupboard, toothbrushes and toothpaste in the kids' bathroom).

How do I participate in VTT?

Thanks so much for reading my blog. I truly appreciate your comments!

the Old Canning Jars are great....I love the color...
I know what you mean about an old patio.....we never had the $$$$ to put a nice patio in until all the children left the nest....a few years ago all I wanted was a new patio....talk about a crack...we had a huge one all across the patio.....I waited a long time for our new patio and I love it.....we spend a lot of time in the yard during the Spring and Summer and early fall....
Hugs,
Mo :-)

Old canning jars are pretty...like all the colors. I wonder if they put certain things in certain colored jars. Was there a "canning code", I wonder?? I have at least one vintage light cover in my house, too, just not that old...mine is mid-seventies!

The color of the Ball jars is wonderful...I've only seen them in clear glass.
