Pink Saturday 1/3/09

Hip Hip Hooray! It's time for Pink Saturday. The first Pink Saturday of the New Year! Yahoo! Pink Saturday is hosted by the wonderful and lovely Beverly @ How Sweet the Sound. Be sure to pay her a visit and see who else is proudly parading their pinks.

(Big breath) Well, I have to admit, I'm still trying to get back into my routine now that the wonderful holidays are over and I'm not as organized as I'd like to be, couple that with my dryer going out about a week ago and me now having to tackle not one, but two weeks of dirty laundry that equals twenty loads (YES! TWENTY LOADS!!!) and I think you will indulge me when I say that today I'm going to share some of my past, yet some of my favorite Pink Saturday posts from "08". I sure hope no one minds...

A wonderful way to start a day. A nice cup of freshly brewed, aromatic coffee, sitting at my dining table covered in a vintage tablecloth embroidered with red and pink flowers and of course...one of my favorite magazines...which just happened to have Pink on it's cover :0)
A beloved tea set and vintage table cloth ...
When we visit Cambria, (my favorite place) we stay in a little cottage in the pines that belongs to one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet. We are truly blessed to call them special friends. These are some of the gardens showing splashes of pink. Joe & Janet work very hard to make this such a magical place. I am reminded of the secret garden...
My baby bonnet. I actually remember wearing this when I was just two years old!
My pink wine glasses, on my tole ware tray with a wonderful pink rose and my vintage table cloth with pink roses...

Thank you so much for spending a part of your Saturday with me. I sure hope you'll leave me a note and let me know you were here!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

THE PINK LADIES PLEDGE...THINK PINK !!!

I don't remember these pinks! They must be from before I met you. I can't believe you can remember wearing that bonnet. It is so pretty. Everything is pretty actually. Good luck with the humongous pile of laundry. Blech! Happy Pink Saturday!

I have to say...I love the song that popped up on your blog "A Summer Place." When my husband and I were really young and living in downtown San Francisco, there was a bar called "A Summer Place" which we never went into, not being huge drinkers, but everytime we saw it, I'd start singing this song. We rented the movie at some point which did not have the same hopeful, summery feeling as the song being kind of sad, but the song brings back such nice memories anyway! Ooooo, love the Glenn Miller as well!

Happy Pink Saturday!

Oh you poor thing...no dryer! I think I'd be crying a river with all of that laundry to catch up on. I get behind every once and while and it is overwhelming to me. I hope your dryer gets fixed (or replaced!) soon.

You have lovely pinks to share. I like the old tablecloths and the pink wine glasses the best.

take care,
Dawn

Hi Rechelle, We have been gone for two days and arrived home late tonight. No computer time to speak of. sorry my visit is so late.

I don't mind seeing your pink again as I don't remember it from before. Everything is so sweet in pink. I love the tea set and the wine glasses. Your baby bonnet is adorable. You had to be the cutest little girl in that bonnet. I would love a cup of your coffee if it wasn't so late. smile.

I must get to bed and I will probably dream of your laundry because that is a nightmare. LOL.

Hugs...Jeanne

I loved your look back at 2008 in pink. That is a beautiful place in Cambria. I haven't been to the coast since 2007. I think I better not let 2009 go by and say the same thing.
Have a wonderful pink weekend. I hope your laundry is done and your feet are up!

I loved seeing all the pretty pink things but all I kept thinking is "twenty loads of laundry" and it made me starting shaking. Praying it all gets done quickly.

Hey again Rechelle ... after posting a comment on Blue Monday about Pink Saturday, I came back to look at the pics again and the pink wineglasses really caught my eye. I've seen lots of pink glasses, but none that are this simple-and-elegant, without all the foof. The colors in your tole tray are wonderfully rich, and remind me of a tole tray I just put in my eBay store ... black with handpainted daisies, and a scalloped edge with gold scrolls. They look like they were made to go together.

Once again, have a great 2009!
