A special tablecloth-Show & Tell 8/28

TGIF !!! You know what that means! It's time for "Show & Tell" Friday, hosted by the oh so gracious Kelli @ There's is no place like home. Be sure to pay her a visit and see who else is sharing their treasures today.

If you've gotten to know me then you know I have a "thing" for tablecloths. A couple of years ago Mr Walnuthaven and our youngest guys took a shopping trip to pick my mother's day present. Hubby had picked a totally different cloth but when my eldest boy saw this one, he knew his momma would love it. And of course, I do.

The tablecloth
dressed...

The dishes/set I've had for over 24 years
with the cups and saucers being a
more recent addition to my
existing set...

The glassware was given to me
when my mother passed away.
I remember mom letting us
use the glasses for special occasions...

Thanks for stopping by and saying "Hi!". I hope you have a fabulous day!

I like the glasses and I think it's so special to use something that belonged to our loved ones, especially if they're no more with us, it's a way to always remember them even in the smallest everyday things.
Thanks for sharing with us.

Hello Rechelle, I have a weakness for tablecloths too. My now 9 foot harvest table doesn't fit my wonderful collection of tablcloths. I had to start collecting again. sigh.

I love your tablecloth and dishes. The goblets are gorgeous. How wonderful for you to have them as a memory of your mom. I too have treasures such as yours that belonged to my mom. They mean everything to me.

Have a happy day...Jeanne

The tablecloth is gorgeous! The pattern on the lovely goblet reminds me of a pattern I have on a set of glasses that were my grandparents.
