Thank you Diane At A Picture is Worth a 1000 words for being a gracious hostess and letting me "play" along. This is a wonderful Tuesday party I'll enjoy for sure!
I've always disliked the bottles that cooking oil comes in.
Why can't it be prettier,
less bulky,
functional,
practical
and pleasing to "my" eye...?
(no, I don't ask for much, do I?)

OH!
A resolution to the "bulky" problem
but yet this idea posed another problem...
the vinegar cruet was to small
and I was re-filling
this baby every week....
Can you say messy, messy, messy?!
(I cook almost every day and always like to put a dab of oil in my pan/pot)

Hmmm, thinking, thinking...
(tapping forehead Ala Pooh Bear)
Well, Look-ey Here!!!
It's red so it will blend well with the kitchen decor,
it's a good size...
will my drizzler top fit?
Oh please let it fit!

Perfection!
I am one happy cooking momma.
Seriously!
Why buy an oil drizzler from one of those home stores for way more $ then I wish to spend, when I can re-purpose something as common as a glass soda bottle? Plus this is a large bottle! Perfect for the amount of cooking I do for my large family. This bottle is 500ml which is about 16.9oz. For the heck of it, I got on line and checked out a couple of websites to see how much a 'drizzler' in this size would cost. I found a ceramic one for $8.99 but other then that there wasn't one this big or one that I liked as much as I like this one.
A simple re-purposing act...

So what have you recycled or re=purposed lately?
*(No Coca Cola bottles were harmed in the making of this drizzler)

Hi Rechelle, welcome back to blogland! I have one of those tall drizzler bottles and I still haven't filled it up yet with my olive oil! LOL Good idea! You always come up with good ideas!

Ok...you are SMART! I lug out the big one...or used to until my sweet sis gifted me with a lovely one..but this is CUTE! Neat idea!
Great idea, Rechelle! I love that bottle and you saved money too! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
I love this...very clever. I have more fun repurposing but haven't come up with anything recently...hugs, Linda
Very clever idea, Rechelle! How cool that it goes with your kitchen decor, too!
Brings back memories of the bottle my mom used with a sprinkler top on it for ironing when I was a kid. Remember those?
Great idea - we used to use the soda bottles with a sprinkler head on them to dampen clothes before ironing - now you know how OLD I am. LOL
Hi Rechele
I like the look of that Cola Drizzler. Its so much fun. I'll have to think about that too...
have a super day

Oh Rechelle what a terrific idea! I love it! It looks so pretty.
Thanks for the sweet visit today. I hope you try the shrimp recipe soon. You really will love it! ;)
Love your idea!!! I bet it looks great in your kitchen! Keep thinking of great ideas to share!
Take care.
Warmly,
Deb :)
now that's a grand idea!
My Mom always used a Coke bottle with a small sprinkler attachment on the top when she sprinkled our clothing before ironing them. May have been before steam irons but she used it up until the day she could not iron any more!

Hi Rechelle, welcome to 2nd Time Around. I thought I visited everyone. I better check the list. Your idea is terrific. Who doesn't like a Coca Cola bottle. Cute and handy. Very clever Pooh Bear. BIG smile.
I didn't get to hardly anyone on Monday. Way too busy. Your hanky is a beauty. I love the way you display it with the rose. Also in a cloche. Very sweet.
Have a happy day in your pretty cottage.
Hugs, Jeanne
What a super idea! I love using the coke bottle!
I like it...so refreshing! Thanks for stopping by to window shop for shoes.
Great project and definitely one I'm going to try! I've been needing a drizzler for a long time I just didn't know it till I saw yours *smiles*
