Happy birthday, sugar!! Every chick should have birthday wishes come to her on HER day. I'm the same—birthdays are no longer a big event...actually, they never were in this family. Just another day except when the kids were young. ;-)

I am sorry I have missed your last couple of post so I have been scrolling down and reading. I love working out in the yard those first couple of times during Spring when my dogs get so excited that I am visiting THEIR territory! Yours are just adorable and look like they are loving it. This reminds me that I should be outdoors making some headway!!
I also loved seeing all your "red". You know I adore yout kitchen. I'm into white also with some pops of color and you really have done it with the red accents!

First, a belated Happy Birthday to you! I hope you had a lovely day, and really did get to do whatever you wanted --- which is what is supposed to happen on birthdays. They don't need to be big occasions, but the birthday girl needs to choose her celebrations!
And thank you so very much for your kind and tender sympathy about our little dog Connie. It's very hard to accept that this happened. I do hope she is romping at the Bridge, learning the ropes from your dear Bailey, and our dear Brandy, Ailsa and Lily.

I was so happy to find your note on my new shell dish post! I hadn't seen you for awhile and after going through your last post, I see why! You've been busy, Girl! Your backyard is looking wonderful! I just love all of your new trees...soooo nice! It's difficult to make yard transformations...I think. Landscaping is hard work and then it always takes some time to see the fruits of your labor! We need so much done at our place but it just seems like my honey does good to just keep the lawn mowed...it's been very busy around here! Anyway, your yard is looking great...you'll have to keep us posted on its progress!!!

Yes, God knew our hearts and knew exactly what we needed to "ground" us. I was too afraid to go it alone, so I was forced to depend on Him. I was too afraid for being responsible for someone's soul besides my own...I had to surrender myself to Him in obedience. I got "straightened" out real fast, know what I mean?
