Since this started out to be an update on my yard progress, I thought it would fit right in with "Outdoor Wednesday" which is hosted by Susan @ The Southern Daydreamer. Be sure to pay her a visit and see who else is sharing the great outdoors.
Yard work is hard work! Pfew!
As you can see the trees are doing very well and adding the geraniums/flowers at the base really seem to dress the trees up. A few reasons why I chose geraniums...1. They are hardy 2. They bush up and the blooms are colorful and 3. Most importantly...I don't kill them :0)

Remember how we had the yard leveled out? Well we had them use our existing
grass. They had to cut it out and pick it up. After they leveled out the ground, they
patched in the grass. This was done last week. Can you see how much
new growth we're getting now? It's really coming along! Yahoo!

Now it's time to move into the patio...

It looks wonderful and those trees will grow so fast. Yards like children, they take a little time and a lot of energy!

Hi Rechelle,
Thanks for stopping!! Aren't those girls just the picture of health & beauty! Sigh...
Your yard is really looking up! I never heard of re~using the sod! Great idea, since sod is so expensive. Are those Palm trees? Duh! I try to remember where everyone is living!! ;-)
I can't wait til you get to the fun part~no, not lying back relaxing in your beautiful yard! Planting the flowers!

Very pretty! What kind of trees are they?
Sandra
Looking wonderful!!!
I just found you while blog jumping! :) Yes, it looks like you are working hard on the yard and it is looking great. I was going to plant more flowers today and it rained. Maybe tomorrow?
Came over to say I like to iron. I detest cleaning up the kitchen. In fact, I need to go do that right now!
Donna
Your yard looks beautiful. We have to get out and start working in our yard soon. I love the pictures of your little helpers :>)
It's coming along great, Rechelle!! We are in the middle of several projects, and just have to keep at it, too!!
Love your prrrruppies!! You have a wonderful back area for them to run and play!!
Keep up the good work!! The flowers around the base of the trees look really pretty!!
Blessings,
Becky
Hi Rechelle
I love all the trees you planted and it looks like the "kids" love running and playing on the grass!
To answer your question, yes all those pictures are flowers from my yard.

Your back yard is looking FABULOUS!!!! The pups look so cute playing back there!
Also, happy belated Birthday!!!! Hope you had a great one!♥
Welcome to Outdoor Wednesday Rechelle! You have a wonderful backyard! Thanks for sharing your photos.~ Susan
Looks like you have a nice big back yard. I don't see any reason why Bouganvilla wouldn't thrive there. I've seen some there in So Cal and I'm amazed it isn't used more than it is because it always looks beautiful. It just needs a location that gets lots of sun.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday.
Charlotte
By the size of your yard you have a lot to work with. Yard work is hard work but it has such good rewards! Keep us posted.

Very pretty yard Rechelle! I like how you had it all leveled out. That looks great and the trees are all gorgeous. Nice idea to plant the Geraniums at the base.
Your Daisy doggie is just too cute!
Thanks for your kindness today on my new drapes.
I always enjoy your visits.
~Melissa :)
It's two doggies! :)
Cookie is darling too!
I so wish I had that fence considering the bank construction going on across the street. I may just have myself one built.

The idea of taking up the grass then being able to re-use it sounds great.
You have a lovely yard and you're making lots of progress. Before you know it, it will be exactly as you want it to be.
Your yard is so nice, Rechelle! I love geraniums but I kill them--so I'll just admire yours from afar☺
Awww your doggies are so cute! What a nice backyard they have to romp in lol.
All the best,
Allison

Very nice. I love your reasons for picking geraniums. The were all great!
Evening, Rechelle! Oh, your yard looks so nice and large! I love your little fuzzy faces running all around. Cookie is Chloe Dawn's cousin! :)
Be a sweetie,
shelia :)
Good for you Rechelle. Yard work is sooooo hard. Your trees look awesome. They will grow faster than you think. I too love geraniums. they never disappoint me. Cookie and Daisy are loving that big yard.
Hugs...Jeanne
It's looking great! That last picture is co cute :)
Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on the baseball teams. My SIL is such a big angels fan that his groom cake was Angels. When his son was born he had him dressed in Angels uniform for his birth photo at the hospital. Funny but my SIL was raised in NJ. We flew him out to a game 2 years ago and he went nuts! Now to talk about your lawn. It always amazes me how fast lawns can grow and my hair too but how slow it is to lose a few pounds:) Oh and cookie and Daisy are cute!
Joyce
I enjoyed visiting your yard...it is looking good...the doggies seem to really enjoy it too...the trees are so nice.
It makes ME want to run around chasing a toy barefoot!!!
Great trees...yard work is hard isn't it? But the payoff is soo big!
Blessings,
Susie
Your yard is looking great. I love the trees and your geraniums too. I've always liked geraniums, they are a really nice plant for all the reasons you mentioned...hugs, Linda
Rachelle, what a lovely huge yard you have and those doggies of yours look like they are having a party playing out there.
