Outdoor Wednesday-Still working in the yard,..We're progressing!

This is my very first "Outdoor Wednesday".
Since this started out to be an update on my yard progress, I thought it would fit right in with "Outdoor Wednesday" which is hosted by Susan @ The Southern Daydreamer. Be sure to pay her a visit and see who else is sharing the great outdoors.

Yard work is hard work! Pfew!
As you can see the trees are doing very well and adding the geraniums/flowers at the base really seem to dress the trees up. A few reasons why I chose geraniums...1. They are hardy 2. They bush up and the blooms are colorful and 3. Most importantly...I don't kill them :0)

(click on any picture to enlarge)

From left to right,
trees 1,2,3,4
There's a tree wayyy in the corner
behind the swing set.
Tree #5 located in the northwest
corner of our yard.
I'm still thinking about
what I want to put
in the very corner...

Don't they look so pretty
standing so straight
and tall?

I want in on the action!
Take my picture too!
Right here next to this Gardenia...

Remember how we had the yard leveled out? Well we had them use our existing
grass. They had to cut it out and pick it up. After they leveled out the ground, they
patched in the grass. This was done last week. Can you see how much
new growth we're getting now? It's really coming along! Yahoo!

Woof! Woof!
Let's run, play
and
fetch our toys!

Cookie-I got my ball!!!
Daisy- I got my squeaky barbell!

Now it's time to move into the patio...

It looks wonderful and those trees will grow so fast. Yards like children, they take a little time and a lot of energy!

Hi Rechelle,

Thanks for stopping!! Aren't those girls just the picture of health & beauty! Sigh...

Your yard is really looking up! I never heard of re~using the sod! Great idea, since sod is so expensive. Are those Palm trees? Duh! I try to remember where everyone is living!! ;-)

I can't wait til you get to the fun part~no, not lying back relaxing in your beautiful yard! Planting the flowers!

I just found you while blog jumping! :) Yes, it looks like you are working hard on the yard and it is looking great. I was going to plant more flowers today and it rained. Maybe tomorrow?

Came over to say I like to iron. I detest cleaning up the kitchen. In fact, I need to go do that right now!

Looks like you have a nice big back yard. I don't see any reason why Bouganvilla wouldn't thrive there. I've seen some there in So Cal and I'm amazed it isn't used more than it is because it always looks beautiful. It just needs a location that gets lots of sun.
Happy Outdoor Wednesday.

Very pretty yard Rechelle! I like how you had it all leveled out. That looks great and the trees are all gorgeous. Nice idea to plant the Geraniums at the base.

I so wish I had that fence considering the bank construction going on across the street. I may just have myself one built.

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on the baseball teams. My SIL is such a big angels fan that his groom cake was Angels. When his son was born he had him dressed in Angels uniform for his birth photo at the hospital. Funny but my SIL was raised in NJ. We flew him out to a game 2 years ago and he went nuts! Now to talk about your lawn. It always amazes me how fast lawns can grow and my hair too but how slow it is to lose a few pounds:) Oh and cookie and Daisy are cute!
