Blue Monday 12/1

It's time for Blue Monday! Blue Monday is hosted by the ever gracious Sally @ Smiling Sally. Be sure to stop by her place, say hello, and check out who else has got their blue on today :0).

Keeping in the spirit of the season...

Here's a bit of my Christmas decor for this year. In the center of the brandy jar is a vintage blue glass ornament that I recently found on one of my thrifting adventures. Behind it is a favorite print of my five year old. It's simply entitled "Snow".

I like the print too! I also like the way you displayed the Christmas balls. I still have a lot of decorating to do. I hope you are enjoying the process :)

take care,

That ornament is definitely a great find. My mother does a display in a giant brandy snifter with ornaments.

Don't you love to find ornaments when you're out thrifting? Some of my favorites have come in the most unexpected places. Your print is so sweet, and I bet that becomes a cherished keepsake of that five-year old. I still have a Santa who used to always sit in a sleigh on my parents' mantle. He's an old guy now! ;-)

Happy Blue Monday!

It's clever to pull the blue from the picture to the ornament. Happy Blue Day!

Easy to see you're all set for the big holiday. I bought my tree, a Norfolk Pine growing in a pot. It also came with nice decorations.

Hi Rechelle,

I'm glad the turkey soup was a big hit. Tim just about cries at the thought of having to eat turkey or chicken. I think soup would throw him over the edge!

I hope your friend would like to do the ball ornament. I like it on blue the best myself. I just bought 25 blue balls this weekend to do the project in my class.

take care,
Dawn

Wow - it's so great that you're already decorating for Christmas! It always takes me a week or so to get organized after all the Thanksgiving chaos. Loved your Christmas blues!

I love the vintage ornaments. I can never get enough of those. I might have to display mine like that this year instead of on the tree- the kitties get a bit too interested :)

2 years ago we did not even put up a tree. It was our first Christmas with out any kids at home. I just couldn't get motivated to decorate at all. Last year we bought a small fake tree with the light already on it. This year we will use that one and maybe get another fake one that is a little bigger. I am more motivated to decorate this year. Time to get used to not having the kids around anymore. Maybe some year we can manage to get them together with us to celebrate together. But this is not the year. All the year we have been married the tree usually goes up around the middle of the month. After my birthday which is on the 10th. Actually our second year together it never got put up because I went into labor and gave birth to my son on the day we were going to get it. We decided he was our tree instead.

Hi! I came over by way of Nikki's blog. I have that exact ornament on my tree. Our mother let us all pick one to be our favorite and since I was all about flower power, I chose that one. Thanks for showing yours! xxoo

I was gone before seven this am and just arrived back home at around two pm. sigh. My sister and I drove a seven hour round trip to get some venison. We love to eat it. LOL I am tired. Pick your favorite pair of ornaments and tell me what it is. Send me your address so I can send you your ornaments. My mail...jeav@earthlink.net
