Prayer for the Safety of a Soldier
those who take refuge in you will be glad
and forever will shout for joy.
Protect these soldiers as they discharge their duties.
Protect them with the shield of your strength
and keep them safe from all evil and harm.
May the power of your love enable them to return home
in safety, that with all who love them,
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

I know the feelings you and your family are having right now... I just kept telling everyone "I keep seeing him walk back through that front door..." and I do not take it for granted everyday since my husbands return from Iraq that he walk through that front door....

He has my prayers as do all his family. My son is out of active duty from the marines now, but the pride and fear are still in my heart.
I wish him well and pray for his safety. I was once an Army wife- makes me proud to see that picture of him. I know how huge the sacrifce is!
