A great part of waking up...
Is freshly ground coffee brewed just perfectly, two of my favorite magazines and the sound of quiet (now that everyone is gone to school and work). What a way to start the day! I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.
They bothe sound good to me! To answer your ? about the beadboard, I used the real beadboard pieces for my backsplash, it was a small area so not to much money. I put trim around the edges and also caulking to seal everything. It has held up fine and I am so happy I finally got it up there, some people didn't think it was appropriate to use but I haven't had any problems, it doesn't get wet except when I wash it down and then I just dry it right away. Good luck. Hugs~Kelly
I love the quiet in the mornings too, but I'm not a coffee drinker. Hubby is though. I like to get my chores done as early as possible. Then once in awhile I will have a falvored coffee as a reward, and enjoy a magazine. Have a great weekend!
Rechelle, My wake up day when perfect is just like yours. I don't have children at home anymore but I remember it well, with my five running around the house. What fun times back then and ahhhhh the quiet when they were all safely in school for the day.
Rechelle, I'm back to thank you for your very sweet comments on my post. I forgot to tell you what I came over here to say. I got carried away with the past. I do adore my grandchildren and miss them too.
I love early mornings and this is how I enjoy starting my day too. I also like to do a bit of stitching while the day is just beginning and everything is so peaceful....hugs, Linda
Hi! I'm Rechelle. Mommy and Stepmom to my blended brood. As you can imagine there is never a dull or quiet moment in our home. And it's a rather "cozy" home at that, one that seems even "cozier" when we're all together at the same time! I love anything with a history. My home is filled with treasures that have been handed down through generations, or that I've found in thrift stores & antique malls. I love all kinds of music, classic movies & Gene Kelly. Some of my favorite things are vintage tablecloths, lace, beadboard, toile, fine china, tea sets, old homes- be they craftsman, victorian or farmhouses-, decorating & antiques. Living in a cookie cutter house has had it's decorating challenges but my husband and I have loved adding character and making it a "home". We've still many projects to embark upon, but one day... Welcome to my blog, happy reading and please comment! I'd love to get to know you better and may we become fast friends. Enjoy your day and may it be great!
